[opencms-dev] Still problems with IE 5

Hi list,

we still have problems with the encoding, I guess. We use 5beta2 on Redhat
7.2, Oracle and Tomcat and are still facing problems with encoding and
editing pages with the Wysiwyg.
As suggested in some mails before we set the CATALINA_OPTS in catalina.sh to
UTF-8 and everything works fine with IE6, no German-Umlaut problems at all,
also without setting the encoding property of every page.

In IE5 (5.0) all pages are also displayed correct, but:
1. the "context menu" in the opencms explorer shows no german Umlaute and
2. the wysiwyg-Editor shows a blank page and throws a "missing
object"-javasript-error when trying to close it.

As we are forced to use IE5 for some months on most workstations due to
other problems we would really appreciate to get a workaround for these
problems.

Thanks in advance
Kai
