Hi!

Maybe I could TeX at least a part of the documentation, as long as it comes
in a suitable format (i.e. ASCII or HTML) it should be no problem.

Subject: [opencms-dev] Two new OpenCms projects started

We have started to work on two new projects.
Both of them aim at making the "first steps" with OpenCms easier.

* Documentation / Manuals for first time users [P011]

We have started a documentation project for first time users of OpenCms. The
goal of this manual is to give an overview of the most important features of
the system. We expect a first draft to be ready in April. The first version
of the manual will be in German (anyone volunteers to provide an english
translation :).

Small sidenote from me: Anyone out there who would like to typeset this as a
TeX - Document? I think else we might end up with a M$ Word - Doc for that
(well, we _will_ have a PDF, of course).

* Better Examples: News - Ticker [P012]

To provide some more examples of the OpenCms API features, we are working on
a simple "News - Ticker" module. This will be included in one of the next
releases.

Best Regards,

Alex.
