Ah! Ok, the "quickest and dirtiest" method did the job 

     "Ich bin drin' ... das war ja einfach!" :-) 

Now for the slower - and cleaner - methods. Are there any ?

Yep. Seems as if that would help quite a lot with first-time-installers
like myself...
