[opencms-dev] installation problems: Access denied for user: '@localhost' to database 'opencms'

Hi Michael Kenny.

In your opencms.properties, change the connectstring 
to use an '&' instead of an ';'
The connectstring then looks like this.

opencms.properties:property.connectString =
jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/opencms?user=root&password=<root password>


This worked for me, and solved the exact same problem as you have.
