[opencms-dev] Input templating

I just took a look at OpenCMS, and I'm wondering if there is any support
for "production templating". If I understand OpenCMS correctly, the
template mechanism is used for "presentation templating", i.e. creating
dynamic views on existing data. I'm looking for a framework for creating
production templates (web forms), and storing the input data either as XML
documents or directly in a database.

If "production templating" is not supported, we will consider extending
OpenCMS with this functionality. Any input is appreciated.
