[opencms-dev] producing static html pages

Hello,
we are pondering the use of opencms for one of our projects. One of the
requirements in this project is to deploy the 
site as static html-pages.
 
My question: Is it possible to use the opencms-template machnism only during
implementation of the site,
automatically generate a complete snapshot of the site in the form of a set
of static html-pages and upload this snapshot to a http-server?
