[opencms-dev] JServ?

This is my first look at this project, and it appears promising.  My initial
question is this... why be tied to JServ?  It looks like some effort was
made to make opencms database-independent, but when it comes to a servlet
platform you're tied to an outdated, unsupported platform.  Is there any
effort being made to at least move to Tomcat?  Has anybody successfully used
opencms w/ other servlet engines, i.e. Tomcat, JRun, BEA, etc...?
