[opencms-dev] REPOST: How to use DB connections/prepared statements in OpenCMS?

Hi,

I'd like to write a contendefinition, for that I need to use a connection to
the same database OpenCMS is using. I'd expect to be able to use the OpenCMS
connection pool but can't figure out how...
I also stumbled upon PreparedStatement caching and I would like to know how
to use that too (can I add PreparedStatements for my own modules (and can I
call initLinkConnections again?)
