AW: [opencms-dev] installation error on mandrake8.0

hi claude,

thanks for this hint. it worked very well, but i'm already a little
confused. i tried jdk1.2.2, jdk1.3.1 and jdk1.4.0beta and everytime i
got this segmentation fault. only jdk1.3.0 worked on my server.

but now there is another problem. it seems to be the xml-parser.
if i try to get the login page i get the following entry in the logfile
:

tomcat3.2.2 is integrated into apache and the configuration works.
i followed all instructions to set up opencms with apache-tomcat.

does anyone know a tip, how to solve this problem?

hi peter,

i had a similar problem while installing opencms 4.3.18. it said
something like segmentation fault which is probably the same.

the error disappeared when i used jdk 1.3.0 instead jdk 1.3.1
