Hi All,

Has anybody done anything with OpenCms to allow published content to
"expire" after a certain date? If so, would you mind sharing how you did
it?

I am contemplating a couple of methods, but have no full solution. The
ideas include
1. Create a Module which maintains a list of resources to be managed, and
allow resources to be added to this list, complete with "expiry date".
2. Add a property to resources to be expired sometime, and scan through the
repository daily for items which are 'out of date', then delete them.

I suppose (1.) is the better option, but I am unsure of the issues spawning
a long-running background thread from a Module.

Thanks for any help,
Mark
