AW: [opencms-dev] NewsModule 4 - openCMS 5.0 beta 2

Hi Jan,

We have done the following:
- execute sql script for news
- import news module
- copied all the *.class files from com.opencms.modules.homepage.news_4.zip to the WEB-INF/classes dir. Be careful with the destination path, it should be WEB-INF/classes/com/opencms/modules/homepage/news/.
After this, news module should run basicly but there are language resource problems.
- in opencms Admin in folder /system/modules/com.opencms.modules.homepage.news rename the 'language' dir to 'locales'. After this german resources should be available.
- For english resources rename 'locales/uk' to 'locales/en'.

Currently we have problems with 'Umlauten' in News. It does not work rigth if we set CATALINA_OPTS=-Dfile.encoding=UTF-8

Hello List,

is it possible to set up a working NewsModule4 on openCMS 5.0 beta 2. I was
able to install the NewsModule as described in the Documentation. After
using the new icons in the Administration view i get System Errors.
