Hi Kenneth,

This is definitely something I would love to see in OpenCms.

Best wishes,
             Ivan

Subject: [opencms-dev] Struts Integration

Hello all,
I have done a proof of concept for integrating Struts and OpenCms. To my
amazement with seven lines of code added to OpenCmsHttpServlet, and
minor
changes to the struts application, I was able to get the struts-example
working in OpenCms. I have gone on record saying
(<http://opencmsfacade.sourceforge.net>) integrating the two would not
be
practical, but I am having doubts now. I am thinking about going forward
and
fully integrating OpenCms and Struts, which will require some
significant
changes to the core OpenCmsHttpServlet, and potentially others. I was
wondering how Struts integration would be accepted by the core OpenCms
developers and the community? Is this something people want?
An alternative to integrating Struts would be creating a Struts like
environment such as Facade (<http://opencmsfacade.sourceforge.net>).
Facade
could be added like a simple plug in and not require any changes to core
classes. However it would not be Struts, and would not be compatible
with
existing Struts applications.
Any comments would be helpful
