Hi Alex,
This is very very cool... it means I can script some things if required from
command line...
For example creating users .. . wow. There seem to be all opencms web
frontend functions also integrated also within the CMS-Shell.
Thanks!
Have a nice weekend,
Nico
(servlet.jar - was not in CLASSPATH - I had to add manually - by the way)

Nico,
try using cmsshell.sh -mode=classic. If the shell starts (make sure all
required JARs are in place), you can enter "help" for a list of commands.
You can also look at the source of "com.opencms.core.CmsShellCommands" for
an overview.
Best Regards,
Alex.

Hi,
I read something about a CMS Shell, I have never used this before.
Does anyone had some experiences with this? An overview of commands etc.?
Currently I got only:
wrong usage!
Usage: java com.opencms.core.CmsMain [-base=<basepath>]
[-script=<scriptfile>] [-mode=[<ecmascript><es>/<classic>]]
If I execute 'sh cmsshell.sh' ...
Thanks for any tips,
Nico
