[opencms-dev] Is it possible to create a session for anonymous browsing users to store parameters?

Hi list,

i want to store the preferred language of anonymous browsing
users in a session. The class (extends CmsXmlTemplate) which
delivers my content would evaluate this parameter.

- Where do i have to put the code to create a session and how
  does it have to look like?

- Does the session work when the users do not allow cookies, too?
