[opencms-dev] OpenCMS SOAP Integration - How?

hi,

the more questions I ask the more ideas for new questions I get - a vicious
circle :)

I have some questions for Module developers and SOAP experts:

I know OpenCMS does not support SOAP by itself, for example to exchange
messages or communicate with other resources (i.e. other CMS's). Would it be
possible to wrap a SOAP system (i.e. Apache SOAP) as module and intregrate it via
module import in OpenCMS? 

What problems could arise? 

Does such an apporach already exist? Are there other ways to integrate SOAP
communication in OpenCMS or is it easier to have an external SOAP System in
Tomcat which OpenCMS has to communicate to in order to communicate with the
outside world?  Any other ideas?
