Next try...

The server makes a connection HttpConnection to itself. Therefore
localhost should be the right choice in almost all environments. The
8080 port might be removed for instances where Apache runs in front of
Tomcat and the local Tomcat http is disabled. Putting the external name
of the server should also be possible, depending on the server
configuration of course.

Best Regards,
Alex.

Subject: [opencms-dev] Export URL for JSPs

In opencms.properties, it states the following:

# Export URL for JSPs.
# If you do not set this manually here the value will be auto-generated
# from the first request. This is o.k. for simple setups,
# but for more complex setups it is probably better to set this here.
## flex.jsp.exporturl=http://127.0.0.1:8080/opencms/opencms

Several times when I have deployed OpenCms and my content and tried to
publish, the following appears in the log:

Error in Flex loader. Detailed error: JSP export URL not set, can not
export JSP.

What is the correct value to set for flex.jsp.exporturl? Is it OK to
leave it as localhost or do I have to put the URL of the server as it
would be known to someone browsing in from the web?

Thanks,
                Ivan
