[opencms-dev] alternative login mechanisms

first- my apologies if I've posted this message multiple times-- I don't
*think* my earlier note wwent thru though.

I'm curious if anyone has done any work with adapting opencms to use some
type of external or alternative authentication system....  Specifically,
LDAP... ???

I like just about everything I've seen so far about openCMS except the
apparent lack of 'pluggability' for the authentication piece.  Perhaps I've
missed something though....

any clues?
