Joshua  -- Thanks for your encouragement.  My plan is to follow the
existing News module to do the BackOffice and db operation part.  (
Actually calendar and news are strikingly similiar if you consider only the
datafield they are using).  For the display part, jsp tag lib will be
sufficient, thanks again to the build in jsp support.

I had the front end working easily.  The backoffice part is what pulls my
leg.  I will keep you updated on the progress.
