[opencms-dev] opencms taglib without navigation tags

Hello,

i'm experimenting with the new features of opencms 5, now that they are
documented.
At the first glance i'm missing some kind of navigation tags, the docs
suggest to use a scriptlet to implement a complex navigation, in fact the
interactive docs make use of this. But i don't like the idea of mixing java
code with html or using print to display html (i.e. using scriptlets). I'm
pleased with the now deprecated so called proprietary xml template
mechanism, where one defines elements like naventry and navcurrent in a
single xml file and the according java class takes care of generating the
html navigation (some kind of seperating view and logic).

Are navigation tags planed for the future?
Or is there already an other way to generate a navigation without mixing
java and html code i.e. using scriptlets and without using the proprietary
xml template mechanism.
