[opencms-dev] Deciding between a core extension and module

Hello,
   As I had said in my earlier query, I want to be able to export OpenCMS
   content to a RSS feed. The way I want to do this is to generate the
   feed when the project is published. Will this require a core
   extension, or (hopefully) can it be done in a module itself?
