In the manual for OpenCms is a desription how to change the values (see site
11 and 12). I have change the hostparameter to "%", this means all host's.
Hopefully it help's. I use phpMyAdmin to control mysql, there it's easier to
change these options and to see, which rights the user (opencms) has.

So what does the default username and password that OpenCMS uses in order to
connect the remote MySQL server? Where I can set them out?

Does your OpenCms have root rights on the MySql-Server? To create the
Database, you has connected as root, but when the OpenCms itself has no root
rights, it doesent work. Show on the MySql-Server wich rights OpenCms has.
Or you have to change the host of the databaseuser  to all host's (not
localhost). 

Maby i'm wrong, but it can be the source of error.

I have installed the OpenCMS with a remote MySQL Server. During the
installation, The Tomcat can connect to the MySQL Server, create all the
Databases and Workplaces. But after installation and want to run the
OpenCMS, it occurs the 500 error: Database Server cannot be connected. How
can I set the OpenCMS so that it can connect to the MySQL? Port 3306 is
opened on the connection of the MySQL Server
