[opencms-dev] Charset issue

I use JDK 1.4
I can't always use the suggested option of using é because some text
comes from the DB (MySQL) and renders the same problem. Maybe it would be
better to go back to ISO-8859-1 (which should support french characters),
and find another way to solve my initial issue.
The initial problem was that whenever I typed a french character in the
browser (i.e é è ê ç etc..), it wasn't stored properly and became /. This
dataloss seemed to be right after a POST on the page.
