the cmsshell have an instruction to doit.
>./cmsshell.sh

<Guest at online>login Admin admin
<Admin at online>deleteBackups 0
<Admin at online>exit

the parameters is the number of weeks (i think) to preserve.

Notes:
   - the exit instruction maybe hangs. use CTRL-BREAK instead.
   - The original distribution have an error at cmsshell.sh, you have to
include bin/jug.jar at the classpath.

Subject: [opencms-dev] how to clean history ?

Hi all,

I wonder if it's possible to unactivate history (i think so, through the
properties file) and also clean the old version of documents in the database
?
Thanks by advance for your help.

Guillaume.
