[opencms-dev] hosted / isp install - permissions problem

Many thanks to previous postings and recent advice to set the permissions
loose at 777 in the installation phase. I now have visibility of the opencms
welcome page -  I was delighted to see it, unfortunately I can't get any
further. the help of you experts is needed.

 

There seems to be a  difficulty installing the product on hosted services
because the product takes a user id different to the directory owner. This
leaves an environment that cannot be written to, unless the ownership is
reset by the system administrator. Is there a way of enabling the
installation process to be initiated with ownership of the user responsible
for the install?
