[opencms-dev] Question User / Usergroup

How does OpenCMS manage the mapping of which User belongs to which group?
What exactly does a Java Certificate (java.security.cert.Certificate object)
mean?
How can it be mapped to the OpenCMS file flags? (user rights, group rights)
?
Does is provide enough information for that? (As far as I know it only
ensures that a particular user owns this file)
