Hiya ...

One of the biggest problems is that there are so many flavours of the
news module flying around at the moment. I would suggest that you get
the module either from http://opencms.al-arenal.de/ or from the opencms
sandbox.

Where did you get the module ??? ... I just wonder as you two seem to be
the only ones with this problem.

I cant say about the version on al-arenal but the news version in the
sandbox is set to allow projectmanagers and users to edit news items.

Hi Mark,

I have the same problem too. I changed the permission on
/system/workplace/templates/Backoffice plain file. I can the news icon,
but when I clicked on it, I got "system error". Do you have any ideas
what cause the problem?

Change the access rights in the explorer view for the news backoffice
templates.

Hi

I was wondering if it's possible to access the News 2.1 module as a user
in
the project manager group?
Currently both the news and channel icons are only visible when i log as
administrator, I'd like to be able to access the news for
editing/creating
as a project manager.

If there is a way, how can i do this?
