I had similar problems. Try using in tomcat startup : set
CATALINA_OPTS=-Xmx300M

I think that the problem is in tomcat .... you should only really need to
restart tomcat .... may also have something to do with GC.

Betreff: [opencms-dev] OpenCMS - Memory leaking

Hello,

I have a serious memory leaking problem.
After 2 weeks a fresh installed server had no more free memory and OpenCMS
become slowler and slower and then freezed. After a reboot only 2 days
passed until the memory was down again. I'm wondering why the memory
consumption was so much higher suddenly and why the memory last only 2 days
now. Does someone have any idea ?

The server has 1 GB Ram, 2 CPUs and approx. 80 users online. Installed is:
Suse Linux 7.2 tomcat 4.1.24 java 1.4.1_06 apache 1.3 MySql 3.23

Any help is welcome.

Greetings,
	Olivier
