Documentation is available, though it is a bit disperse:
Start out by getting the "OpenCms 5.0 basic documentation PDF" from
Documents download section of the opencms.org. This document includes
two important things: a getting started chapter (dealing with making
new pages and so forth), and a chapter on loading modules into OpenCms.
The latter becomes important since the online-help is a module and it
needs to be loaded before it can be accessed. As a minimum you need the
"OpenCms 5.0 Workplace online help basic module" and the "OpenCms 5.0
Workplace online help english version" (both available in the Download
Modules section of the site). The former must be loaded first as it is
needed by the latter.
Then I would suggest that you also goes ahead and download the demo
site, again there are two modules: "OpenCms 5.0 Website demo templates"
which must be loaded before the "OpenCms 5.0 Website demo content". It
is a reasonable minimal and realistic demo of how to build a site using
JSP templates.
After that you can download a number of other modules providing help
with specific topics as you need them.
