[opencms-dev] Remove /opencms/opencms from URL

So is it fair to say that it's not possible to do under Windows? I'm sure the Linux solution will work if you're using that OS.

It looks as if it can't be done, so I'll just leave it at that.

Hi all,

I've tried to remove "opencms/opencms" from the URL but some OpenCms features dont'work.

Therefore I've replaced the "opencms/opencms" with a favorite "suffix": examples "nameofwebsite/cmt".

Irene

After reading the PDF document, it seems as though this is referring to the Admin side of OpenCMS. Is this correct? Or does this also do the job of removing opencms/opencms from the URL of the "front-end"?

I've looked through about half of the example websites done in OpenCMS (under Support - Reference Sites). All of them use some form of /opencms/opencms. So I'm starting to doubt if it's even possible to do this. I'm sure a company like British Petroleum would have removed the references to the content manager on their website had there been a way to do it!

Does anyone have any information to indicate otherwise?

Dylan
