[opencms-dev] a question about jsp and cms

Hello!

I hope you can help me,

In the opencms documentation is written "OpenCms 5.0 recommends the use 
of JSP to build navigation elements"

But is there a documentation like thid .pdf somewhere, which is 
explaining it? And should I use another opencms version, I have 
downloaded opencms_5.0.0.zip, is there a newer?

What can I do to learn about JSP and OpenCms? Is it wrong to read 
Navigation with XML Templates?
