[opencms-dev] Can't edit pages...

This sounds to have nothing to do with browsers. Did you set the
permissions up so you have RW to the directories in question including
some of the directories found in the system directory.

Hi Dejan,

    I've tried IE6 and Mozilla 1.5 - the problem
occurs with both browsers.

    And yes: MySQL 3.23

Apologies for missing out those snippets in
my earlier email.

| Hi,
|
| I've recently installed OpenCMS and up to now it's
| gone very smoothly. I'm working my way through the
| "Creating a new project" section of the documentation
| and am having trouble at the point where I need to edit
| a page:
|
| I click on the icon next to "installation.html" to
| lock the file. It locks OK.
|
| I click on the icon again and select the "Edit
| page" option.
|
| I get the following exception:
| com.opencms.core.CmsException: 1 Access denied.
| Detailed error: [CmsXmlTemplateEditor]
| Insufficient rights for editing the file
| /system/bodies/release/installation.html.
| ...
|
| My database user has full rights to the database
| and tables (i.e.: grant all on opencms.* to root at blah
| identified by blah). So I'm sure that can't be it.
|
| I searched the mailing list and found a suggestion
| that I should change the Tomcat xercesImpl.jar file for
| the equivalent jar in the OpenCMS library
| (xerces-1_4_4.jar). That didn't help.
|
| Can anyone help ?
|
| Thanks,
|
| Tom.
