[opencms-dev] Lucene module problem in Oracle

Stephan,

Thanks for your response. First of all, let me say the Lucene module
works great so far, we are really satisfied.

Regarding this issue, we offer to correct this but we could not find the
source code distribution of v1.4. This seems very simple to correct at
first sight, and BTW it's also a show-stopper . :-/

We did re-generated the index, deleting the contents of the folder
first, and restarted tomcat (again). But nothing happened, we will
deploy the whole application today to discard some class-loading
problem.

After you have modified the classes, did you try to delete the index and
rebuild it from scratch?

Regards,

Stephan

Subject: [opencms-dev] Lucene module problem in Oracle

Dear all,

We've found a problem with Lucene indexes when switching the relational
repository from MySQL to Oracle, and investigating the subject we could
see that the module invokes "readProperty()" on the CmsObject with the
parameters in a "lower-case" fashion. In particular, "title",
"description" and "keywords" are the properties that are not being
indexed when working with Oracle. We've tried to correct that without
success . has anyone already solved this issue? We modified the call to
these readProperty() methods in every class we found it was appearing,
but . is there any other aspect we are not considering?

Thanks in advance,

--mariano

PS: We are using OpenCms v5.0.0 and version of the lucene module v1.4,
with JDK 1.4.1_06 in Tomcat 4.1.29

PS2: Lucene is great!
