Hi,

The news module 2.1 has nothing to do with alkacon .... it was made and
updated by several different people.

The problem with the icon texts '??? blablabla ???' doesn't have
anything to do with translation. You simply have to restart tomcat.

All news modules version 2 and up work with OpenCMS 5.0.x (all the ones
I have seen at any rate) and so translation should never be an issue.

I just noticed on the bottom of the first slide a disclaimer:

(*) Example shows News module currently available only on a per-project 
basis from Alkacon Software <http://www.alkacon.com>.

Perhaps we're supposed to ask them?
