[opencms-dev] JTidy problems

Hello,

We have been experiencing several problems with OpenCMS corrupting our 
page content.  This only happens in the body of a page.

Some of the problems we've been experiencing:

1) Loss of whitespace and HTML formatting.

2) Tags being changed into other tags for no reason.

3) Standard HTML entities such as ® getting converted to ? characters.

We believe that we have narrowed down most, if not all of these problem 
to the use of the JTidy library.  I understand that JTidy is being used 
to do link substitution, but is there any way to configure things so 
that JTidy doesn't touch anything else?  The HTML "cleanup" that JTidy 
is doing is causing severe problems in our project.
