[opencms-dev] Page Editor - how to check links?

After inserting a link in the page editor, how do you check to see what 
it points to?  Double-clicking on the link doesn't bring-up anything. 
 If I select the item and check the Link icon, it asks to insert a new link.

Also, I noticed that when selecting external links the page editor 
doesn't allow the user to change the target.

Is his how it's supposed to be?
