[opencms-dev] Add new resources type ??? (bis)

Hi Jim,

Those instructions were just for adding a new resource type, so you can add
files based on your resource type via your JSP code. If you want to create
files based on this resource type as part of the workplace you have to
modify the workplace accordingly. The JavaScript creating the file type menu
is stored in /system/workplace/templates/explorer_files_new, so you can add
your option to the list there. However you still have to create workplace
action and template files for your new resource type as well. I have used in
the past files /system/workplace/action/explorer_files_new_page.html and
/system/workplace/templates/explorer_files_new_page as samples to achieve
this.

Hello,

I tried to follow the procedure read in this mailing list but it does
not work:

1) I have changed the registry.xml
2) I have created a class com.opencms.file.CmsResourceTypePhotoGallery
by copying com.opencms.file.CmsResourceTypePlain
3) I have added a new "photogallery" in 
WEB-INF/ocsetup/vfs/system/workplace/restypes

It does not work ??

When we try to make a new file in the workspace, we find only seven
types (folder, page, link., text, XML Template, JSP, Upload new file).

I believed that a loop was done on the vi.resource Javascript variable
we can insert in the WEB-INF/ocsetup/vfs/system/workplace/restypes
files.

Who knows the solution ?
