[opencms-dev] Suggestions on LDAP integration

I read recently that Alkacon has created an LDAP integration piece but 
has not released it as open source.  That's fine.  I'd like to integrate 
LDAP in two places, one for users and group administration and another 
for authentication.

I'm thinking the former would be easier than the latter.  Does anyone 
have suggestions on where to start looking?
