Hi,
My last post was regarding "channels": what are they?
But now I have a new problem: I cannot access the workplace upon logging
into OpenCms, I just get the standard Tomcat HTTP 404 page saying "The
requested resource (/system/workplace/action/index.html) is not available.".
This was at first only a sporadic response - after waiting a few moments,
closing the opened-for-the-workplace window and re-logging in, the workplace
would appear again.
Now, though, the symptom is very consistent. I cannot get the workplace
displayed without re-starting Tomcat.
The scenerio that preceeded this behaviour was this:
(1) I logged in as a project manager;
(2) I deleted a project (a project as a member of whose project manager
group I was logged in);
(3) I deleted the folder that was acting as the root folder of all of the
project's resources (minus gallery folders that were also resources of the
project);
(4) I published ("direclty") the deleted folder;
(5) I logged out.
(6) I logged in as a user.
(7) I created a new folder directly in the root folder (I named it with the
same name as the folder I deleted);
(8) I logged out.
(9) I logged in a project manager.
(10) I created a project with including only the folder I has just created.
(11) I logged out.
(12) I tried to log back in as the same project manager. The workplace
window popped up and displayed "HTTP 404 . . .
(/system/workplace/action/index.html) is not available."
(13) I worked on something completely different for about an hour.
(14) I closed the popped up window.
(15) I logged into OpenCms as the same project manager.
(11) The workplace was displayed, I published the project I had earlier
created.
(12) I logged out.
(13) I tried to log back in as the same user as before. The workplace
window popped up and displayed "HTTP 404 . . .
(/system/workplace/action/index.html) is not available."
(14) I closed the popped up window.
(15) I tried to log as, on seperate occasions as each of the administrators,
users and project managers I had created. Even when I tried to log as the
administrator with which OpenCms is installed (with the new password I gave
it), I get the same 404 message.
Has anyone encountered this problem ?
Has anyone got an idea how I can fix this ?e got an idea how I can fix this
?
Thanks in advance,
Greg.
