[opencms-dev] System error when creating a new project.

The install went fine without any issues. I didn't experience any unique
constraint violations.
The only issue I had was with the invalid parameter bindings....

Hi Dave,

I am trying to get opencms to work with MS SQL Server and not able to
install it correctly due to the unique constraint violation at the end of
the installation process (while importing org.opencms.welcome.zip module).
Did you have any problems installing opencms or it went OK.

Thanks Geoff! Removing those 2 entries seemed to resolve the issues with

SQL Server.

Do you have any other recommendations to offer regarding the use of open cms

with SQL Server?

Thanks again,

Dave

I just installed opencms without any issues and was steping my way

through the documentation creating the sample 'Nice Try' project but

after entering the project name, channels, etc. I get the System Error

listed below.

------------------------------------------------

com.opencms.core.CmsException: 4 Sql exception.

Detailed error:

[com.opencms.file.mssql.CmsDbAccess][Microsoft][SQLServer 200 Driver

for JDBC]Invalid parameter binding(s).

There are several fixes for SQL Server available.

If you're happy modifying the contents of your database to add some stored

procedures I posted some optimisations to the list on 19th Feb (don't know

if you can download attachments from the archive... anyone?)

The specific problem you have encountered is a (much-discussed) bug which

requires the modification to the opencms.properties file in the

com.opencms.core.mssql directory in the opencms.jar library. Simply delete

the C_RESOURCES_GET_FILESINFOLDER and C_RESOURCES_GET_SUBFOLDER entries and

your problem should go away.
