Hi Joachim, 
thanks for your fast answer. I agree that the word "development" hasn't been good to describe my interests. My main focus was on the word "history". I did install the OpenCms and also programed my own modules, but for my bachelor thesis i'll have to write something about the CMS itself and i want to start with the, let me say origin (i don't know if this fits better). The only thing i found about that was:

* First public release in March 2000
* Version 5.0 (current) released May 2003
