[opencms-dev] Compilation question...

I am new to OpenCms, and fairly new to Java development.  My issue is that I have created source files using jEdit that I need to compile and incorporate into OpenCMS (version 5.0.1).  However, I am unsure of how to go about doing this.  We have already successfully installed OpenCMS, but it was done by using the binary distributed files for it.  Do I need to compile my files along with the source files for OpenCMS, or is it possible for me to do so without them?
