Well you could always use OpenCMS frame templates. Please see chapter 18.3
in the OpenCMS documentation.

Unfortunately it does not work: it behaves exactly the same way as if you
make it a “normal” html page, a blank page is shown. Did you successfully
try what you suggested to me, or was it only an idea to work around?
