Ok, 

then sorry, i don't know. I had the same problem, but my mistake was, that i
createt a group for my application server (catalina), but i've forgot to set
the rights to the filesystem, so catalina has no write permissions (only
root). 

Maby someone else can help......sorry

database opencms and user opencmsuser exist, opencmsuser has all privileges
