Hallo Salvador,

I changed the following to get the news module running with Oracle9:

* In NEWS_ENTRY I changed the name of the entry "date" to entry "newsdate" datatype DATE
* In NEWS_ENTRY I changed the datatype of entry "text" from BLOB to LONG.
* I added encoding handling of jdbc setString functions in NewsContentDefinition.java.
* changed the poolname

after this it works for me.
You will find the new module attached.

Regards, Jörg Oppermann

regards

Martin

Hi everyone!

I installed NewsRSS module but im having some problems making it work!

I have imported the module and restarted the application server.

A major problem has occured when i have tried to access to the news manager and news channel.

Actually, i want to make the module work with Oracle instead of MySQL database.

I have modified the sql script, but im not so sure on how to handdle the java sources.
Any help would be appreciated!

Simon
