Hi,

do you have the MSN Toolbar installed maybe (with popup blocker)?
OpenCMS tries to open a new window for the Workplace with Javascript 
which gets blocked by popup blockers... if so,
set the blocker to allow popups from your OpenCMS domain / URL....
If this isn't the case, do you get any specific errors?
