[opencms-dev] question about the PROCESS tag

I'm trying to remake a page to create groups and users, because the original
is to complex for use in my application.

My question is what does the <PROCESS> tag do. In the original page of
opencms there are piece of code like this:

 

<tr>

      <td class=formular>]]><LABEL value="input.groupname" /><![CDATA[:</td>

      <td class=dialogtxt colspan=2><input type="text" size="32"
value="]]><PROCESS>GROUPNAME</PROCESS><![CDATA[" maxlength="64"
class="textfeld3" name="GROUPNAME" id="GROUPNEAME"></td>

</tr>

 

Can anybody explain what this tag does and if he is calling some function or
process witch it is?
