[opencms-dev] Performance - uploaded files are in the DB ?

Hello,

I see that when I upload a binary file then it's saved in the DB.
What happened when I have many MBs GBs of data? what about the
performance ?

The OpenCms is widely used so a lot of people had/has this same problem.
Is there a way configure that it'll save it on the file-system?

I use MySql. Does anybody have experience with OpenCms with a lot of
binary data?
