[opencms-dev] xmlcontent validation?

Is it possible to do any kind of validation on xmlcontent forms? 
For example, required fields or value ranges/formatting. 
I don't know too much about XML scheme, but I believe some of this is
possible - would OpenCMS use that kind of extra information?
