Hi,

another try:
Go ahead until the application hangs during importing/indexign the
workplace. Cancel, startover and go throught the installation without
droping the database and the option to import the workplace. 

Runs here without bigger problems with jdk 1.5.

Thanks for your advice.. I will downgrade to 1.4.2 and let you know...
Even 
though the installation gives me a clear "green light" (I first tried
1.50 + 
and Tomcat 5, and I got a yellow light saying that openCms was not
tested 
with Tomcat 5 but it was ok about Java 1.5)
