[opencms-dev] OpenCMS Connection Pooling with Oracle

OpenCms seems to NOT be closing connections, and to be periodically
opening new ones. We are using Oracle 9i with
oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver. This has brought our db to a hault on
multiple occasions.

It looks like the newer version of OpenCms uses a standard connection
pool (DBCP) but that's currently in pre-release.  I haven't been able to
find anything that says that it's possible to use DBCP with the 5.0.1
release.

Any suggestions or fixes?
